# Version 1.42

## ✨ Enhancements

### Password Reset Protection for GitHub

Material now extends its password reset protection to GitHub accounts. This helps security teams detect and respond to account-takeover attempts targeting developer infrastructure—one of the most valuable footholds for attackers. Early visibility into suspicious GitHub password resets reduces the risk of compromised repos, poisoned code, or unauthorized access to build systems.

### Google Profile Photos in Account Views

Google Workspace profile photos now appear in [account](/working-with-issues/explorer.md) details. While not an investigation-critical feature, it provides a more human, recognizable touch during triage and admin tasks—making the product feel friendlier and helping teams move through routine workflows with less cognitive overhead.

### Improved Similarity Matching for User Reports

Material’s similarity matching algorithm no longer uses `google.com` as a grouping signal when clustering [user-reported](/email-protections/user-reports/user-reporting-methods.md) suspicious emails. This reduces over-grouping and noisy clusters, helping analysts stay focused on true patterns instead of manually unbundling unrelated reports.

More exciting changes coming soon, stay tuned!

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.material.security/whats-new/previous-releases/1.15-to-1.43/version-1.42.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
