# Review suggested VIPs

VIP Impersonation occurs when a cyber-threat actor impersonates a prominent employee to obtain sensitive data.

By providing Material a list of VIPs as well as any potential known aliases or alternate display names, you'll enhance protections while also limiting false positives.

### How to review and dismiss or accept VIP suggestions

1. Navigate to **Explorer** > **Accounts**.
2. A banner displays on the top with our suggestions. Click **Review**.
3. From the summary, accept or dismiss suggestions. Each VIP Designation has a few fields:
   1. **Email**: the account's primary email address
   2. **Aliases**: known alternate email addresses (e.g. a personal email) if the VIP frequently uses this to send email to the corporate environment. Separate aliases with a comma then a space: `Alias1, Alias2` . Any aliases added are exempted from Material’s VIP Impersonation detections.
   3. **Display name variants:** variations of the user's display name, which attacker may attempt to impersonate. Material automatically suggests some that make sense. (E.g. `Lee Taylor` may be impersonated by an attacker with a display name of `Taylor, Lee`).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.material.security/getting-started/deployment-guides/your-first-30-days/6-enable-email-remediation/add-a-vip.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
